The new semester is well under way now, and as well as teaching, I am busy preparing for concerts in November: with the Sinfonietta 92 in Berlin, and with the Belgrade Philharmonic. I rehearsed with the Belgrade Philharmonic for two weeks last year, working on the pieces for the orchestra’s first US tour in October 2014, and we got on so well that they invited me to do two concerts this year in Belgrade. I’m really looking forward to the November programme of Prokofiev, Vaughan Williams and Beethoven, to being back in the beautiful city of Belgrade, and to seeing all the friends I made when I was there last year. There’s a little bit of work to do before I get on the plane though!
